Health and Safety Management Plan Verifications

In-field Site Specific Risk Health and Safety Management Verification

Generally, the requirement will also include in-field site verification showing that if any of the following activities or tasks are being performed as part of the contractor contract, that Safe Systems of Work are documented in the health and safety management plan such as: permit to work, asbestos removal, dangerous goods and hazardous substances, electrical safety, confined space entry, working at height, manual and hazardous manual handling, working safely with mobile plant, and working safely with plant and equipment.

In-field Site Health and Safety Management Planning Verification

Frequently, the requirement will also include in-field verification that the documented Safe Systems of Work are for each of the relevant in-field site specific risk activities, and are being applied by the contractors workforce, and that they are effectively managing and controlling the OHS risks.

Health and Safety Management Plan Audit Reporting

Ordinarily, the contractor health and safety management plan audit reporting must be provided to the head contractors management representatives, inclusive of any details of any and all non-conformances and improvement opportunities and opportunities for improvement in the health and safety management plan auditing, additionally any details of corrective actions that should be taken by the contractor to remedy any and all non-conformances and improvement opportunities, including opportunities for improvement identified in the health safety management plan auditing such as, dates for completion for each non-conformance and improvement opportunity and opportunity for improvement.
